How to
use this new feature:
|
Step
One
|
Before
you can bid or offer an item up for auction you need to Register.
When you enter the Auction House below, simply click on the register
link and fill in your details. The process will take only a few minutes
and will enable your bid or item to be accepted in the auction. You
will be asked to provide a "Handle" (An Auction House Alias)
and on completion you will be e-mailed a password to give you the
right to bid and offer items for auction. |
|
Step
Two
|
After registering,
you can Post an item in the auction,
by clicking on the "Post New Item" link and following
the simple instructions. A short description of the item is required.
Your can add a small photo of the item, if you wish. A reserve price
enables you set a lower limit on the bid price. The Days to close
button allows you to pick how long you wish your auction to last.
(From 1 to 14 days). Delivery and payment information is important
to add to the item description. If the buyer collects, please give
the buyer the chance to know where you the item is located before
they bid. If it's COD then please state clearly. If bidders are
in doubt, they will not bid.
|
|
Step
Three
|
To
find the items available in the auction, simply click on the "
Category List " link and the item categories with the number
of items in each category available will appear. Click on the category
and a list of available items, with photos in some cases will appear
with the present state of the auction and last bid price of that item. |
|
Step
Four
|
To
Bid for an item you must first register
(Step One). Simply enter you bid amount in the bid box by the item,
add your Handle and press the button. The number of bids tends
to increase as the end of the auction apporaches, so remember to check
your bid from time to time to make sure you're still in with a chance
to close a deal. If your bid has been successful and e-mail will
be sent to you to arrange settlement. It's that easy. |
|
Step
Five
|
If
you have Successfully bid for your item,
then you and the offerer will be required to contact each other to
formalise payment and delivery/collection. It's that easy. |
|
Note
|
Auctions are great fun, but they are serious, so please read these
instructions and the Auction Forms carefully before offering an item
or bidding. Enjoy. |
